What is possible? Often clients come into our studio naturally unaware of the abilities of our sugar artisans.   Inspiration for our cakes can come from virtually anywhere, and we are eager to create a cake that matches your personality, passions, hobbies or interests. We can mimic and recreate a vast catalog of decorations in sugar, and it is helpful to show us colors, patterns, photos or objects that inspire you so way may in turn be inspired. Our sugar artisans make all of our decorations from edible materials in our studio.

For example, a recent cake design (below) started with the simple idea that the cake should reflect the groom’s  Sicilian heritage.  There are endless ways a cake could be designed with this information alone, but it was casually mentioned that the groom dreamed of moving to Sicily to grow lemons.

We were asked to represent a family residence in Rometta on the cake, and a design was born.

The crate of lemons features two personalized labels. The lemons were hand modeled in marzipan.

Also with a hand painted scene of the Sicilian home on one.

Both labels were created in gumpaste and designed to look like those found on antique fruit crates.
